Back to the First Date

Game designer, writer

The game was made for Molyjam 2013 and is based on the Peter Molyneux quote: “I wish I had some time machine and could go back two weeks. You live by your mistakes, for sure.”

Two time travellers, Sofia and Rajar, met at a Doctor Who convention and decided to go on a first date. Sofia subscribes to the vehicle-based mode of time travel (as seen in “Back to the Future”), while Rajar subscribes to the closed-loop model (as seen in “Hot Tub Time Machine”). Their first date didn’t go as planned, since they argued over everything from time travel theory to who pays the bill.

Two weeks later, both of them decide that they can help the date go more smoothly. Help each of them travel back in time to attempt to fix what went wrong so they are not alone in the present. Can you help these two scientists see eye to eye and live happily ever after?

The Dragon Whisperers

Game designer, writer, programmer, producer

You and your sibling must save your mother’s life by travelling to the top of a temple guarded by a dragon. The dragon asks questions in pictograms and if you want to be understood you’ll need to reply in pictograms. Luckily you have a dragon dictionary! Unfortunately you only have half of the dictionary. Your sibling has the other half!

You must work sitting next to a friend in the real world to translate what the dragon is saying and determine what you should say in response. If you choose correctly, you will ascend the temple steps and get closer to saving your mother’s life. If you choose incorrectly you will be forced to descend.

The Dragon Whisperers is a two player offline co-op game and requires both of you to have the app installed on your device. One player must select “Player 1” at the beginning, the other must select “Player 2”.

Thimbleweed Park

Gameplay programmer, game designer, producer, event coordination, customer support.

In a town like Thimbleweed Park a dead body is the least of your problems.

A haunted hotel, an abandoned circus, a burnt-out pillow factory, a dead body pixelating under the bridge, toilets that run on vacuum tubes… you’ve never visited a place like this before.

Five people with nothing in common have been drawn to this rundown, forgotten town. They don’t know it yet, but they are all deeply connected. And they’re being watched.

  • Who is Agent Ray really working for and will she get what they want?
  • What does Junior Agent Reyes know about a 20 year old factory fire that he’s not saying?
  • Will the ghost, Franklin, get to speak to his daughter again?
  • Will Ransome the *Beeping* Clown ever become a decent human being?
  • Will aspiring game developer Delores abandon her dreams and stick by her family?
