Game Idea A Week: He's Just Not That Into You - The Game
Week Forty-Five (14/08/2010)
The idea for this week is a game based on the book "He's just not that into you". It teaches you quick reflexes so that you'll learn how to tell if a guy is wasting your time or not.
Why it needs to be made:
Many women are looking for a man to spend their life with. However, many women are stuck in dead-end relationships with guys who just aren't into them. This game helps women instantly remember the key ways to can tell if a guy isn't in for the long haul.
The game starts by teaching you one of the key signs that "he's just not that into you". Then the game begins by showing an image representing either an action of a guy who's into you or not. You must quickly choose whether the guy is a keeper or not, by clicking on the bad guys to clear them from the screen for points. After the first image, multiple images will show up on the screen at once. You must leave the good images and click the bad images before they disappear from the screen (similarly to games such as Whack-A-Mole).
As each level is passed a new rule is learnt until all the 11 signs are included. The 11 sure signs he's just not that into you according to the book by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo.
The challenge of this game is to react quickly to the images. The images will come more quickly and disappear more quickly. The difference between the "good" images and the "bad" images is only a simple cross, so the player will need to make sure they are paying attention.
Why it will be a compelling game:
The game is light-hearted and the images will be amusing, yet the game will teach lessons every woman should know. Players will want to keep playing the game to improve their score, although the game may have more of a one time gimmick nature than a long-lasted game.
